Advertisement for Sealcoating Bids

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Oregon is seeking bids for 2019 sealcoating of several Town roads as identified below.

Bids should be submitted to the office of the Town of Oregon, located at 1138 Union Rd, Oregon, Wisconsin 53575 by 8:45 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Town Board meeting Friday, May 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.  Discussion and decision will be voted on by the Town Board on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at

6:30 p.m. 

1.  Project Description

The Town may choose to do only the highest priority roads, depending on cost and budget considerations.  Bidders may wish to arrange a road inspection trip with the Town’s patrolmen to better understand individual project needs and to prepare a more accurate quote.

The possible candidates for 2019 seal coating are:

1.      Tyler St – 600’ x 23’- GSB-88

2.      Coolidge St – 680’ x 24’ – GSB-88

3.      Johnson Ave – 1,335’ x 24’ – GSB-88

4.      Harding St – 2,130’ x 24’ – GSB-88

5.      Netherwood Rd – 9,500’ x 27’ – Single Seal

6.      Fish Hatchery Rd – 5,360’ x 24’ – Scrub Seal

7.      Union Rd – 8,131’ x 23’ – Scrub Seal

2.  Scheduling

The Town wishes to have this work completed during the 2019 work session, meaning done prior to October 15, 2019.
