The Town of Oregon will be performing a market revaluation in 2021. The firm that will perform the revaluation is Accurate at 1-800-770-3927 or email@example.com or www.accurateassessor.com.
The last time the Town of Oregon performed a revaluation of all property was in 2006. Since then the market has changed and assessed values are no longer reflective of the current market. The state of Wisconsin is a Market Value state. This means property values are required to mirror the fair market value of comparable properties to ensure property owners are paying their fair share of taxes.
The change of assessment letter will be mailed by Accurate during the last two weeks of July 2021. All questions should be directed to Accurate at 1-800-770-3927.

Board of Review:
Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 2:00 p.m.
Board of Review is for the purpose of reviewing and examining the assessment roll of real and personal property in the Town, and all sworn statements and valuation of real and personal property thereon, and of correcting all errors in said roll, whether in description of property or otherwise, and to perform such other duties imposed by law.
Per Wis. Stat. 70.47(7)(a):
The Board of Review may not hear an objection to the amount or valuation of property unless, at least 48 hours before the Board’s first scheduled meeting, the objector provides to the Board’s Clerk written or oral notice of an intent to file an objection, except that, upon a showing of good cause and the submission of a written objection, the Board shall waive that requirement during the first two (2) hours of the Board’s first scheduled meeting.
